Q: I don't hear any sounds when playing some MP3 files on my BlackBerry Tour (9630)?

Due to a bug with the BlackBerry Tour OS 4.7.1.40, there are certain mp3 files that cannot be played by any third-party application. The issue has been submitted to RIM and they have acknowledged it as an issue to be fixed with a future OS update. The issue seems to only affect small mp3 files thus if you encounter this problem please try instead using a larger mp3 file like a full song (greater than 3MB in size) as your alarm.

Q: How do I uninstall BBSmart Alarms Pro?

The simplest way is to go to Options - Advanced Options - Applications and scroll down and highlight "BBSmartAlarmsPro". Next, bring up the menu and select "Delete" and when prompted, restart your BlackBerry. Alternatively, you can uninstall BBSmart Alarms Pro using the Desktop Manager Software on your PC.


Q: How do I upgrade to the latest version?

If you already have BBSmart Alarms Pro installed, to update to the latest version:

Enter BBSmart Alarms Pro and select "About" from the menu

Scroll down and click the "Check for Updates" button

On the website that loads, the version listed for download should be "2.2"

Click the "Download" button and when prompted to overwrite the existing version, select "Yes"

If you do not currently have BBSmart Alarms Pro installed, login to the site you purchased the software from to download the latest version


Q: I do not hear any alarm sounds on my BlackBerry Storm?

Please update to the latest version of the BlackBerry Storm Operating System (OS). This was a known issue with an earlier version of the BlackBerry Storm OS and has since been fixed.
